The River Garonne
The River Garonne really makes Toulouse feel like a pleasant city. There are some nice river walks and views, and a number bridges. The Pont Neuf is the oldest bridge and is actually almost 400 years old. It is well worth crossing the Pont Neuf for the views. The River Garonne winds its way through many other French cities and is actually over 300 miles long.

My Favourite Museum in Toulouse
When I visited Toulouse, the Augustins Museum was definitely my favourite of the many. It is on the Rue de Metz, close to the Place Esquirol. There are many lovely paintings here and some large Gothic sculptures, displayed in attractive surroundings of the historic Augustins convent. Upstairs are paintings by a number of French artists from the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries.
